Elder Things

2nd piece in my Lovecraft inspired designs. This creature was one of the most challenging in terms of posing. The described design from the books is already weird enough, but trying to put that into a certain aesthetic adds a whole new layer to the challenge. I tried to put great effort into the wing structure, as I felt this was the part where I could get most out of the composition, while also designing the body pose in a dynamic way instead of going with the stiff cucumber approach. As a little "horror" twist, I also implemented humand like hand shapes into the wings, which, to me, sends off a quit uneery vibe.
