Nug and Yeb

11th in my series of Lovecraft drawings. And probably the least well known of all of them, since they are just briefly mentioned in 1 or 2 of HPs stories.
I've always been fascinated by the physical law of quantum entanglement, ever since I've heard of it (you better youtube this). This was my attempt to give this phenomenon a kind of physical appearance. If you've been paying attention to my designs of lovecraftian gods you'll have noticed that each one was covered in a very straight color palette, from green to blue to magenta to red and so on. That wasn't fully deliberate. In this projects lore, each of the colors represents one of the dimensions which make our reality, of which there are currently 4 known (space-time). There are lots of theories about 5 or even more dimensions, but to keep my head relatively sane I sticked to 5😅 and the 5th dimension, represented in my series as yellow, is the dimension of dreams, maybe a dimension that keeps the others from falling apart. And it is through this dimension that information for quantum entanglement is exchanged, hence faster than the speed of light. And Nug and Yeb are the originators of those 5 dimensions. The white shiny and black dark spots seen in those cloud-like streams are information bubbles that shape the thing we call our reality, and the existence that we apply this term to is, in the end, nothing more than the information exchange between these two entities. Ain't that some cosmic horror.
