The Argonath, Godzilla/Kong

the Argonath with a monsterverse touch. Inspired by the fellowship of the rings extended edition cover, I simply replaced the statues of Isildur and Anarion with the likeness of Kong and Godzilla. To me Godzilla and Kong have always carried a political and natural environment message with them. And even Tolkien was aware of this topic in his own work, in a broader sense, as is evident with his creation myth involving the Valar and even further in creating the people of the Ents, humanoid tree like beings who are shepherds of the forests. In Tolkien lore the Argonath are erected as a warning to outsiders, with both mighty stone figures raising their arm and hand in a comanding gesture. In my version, I replaced the fellowship, that can be seen in the original poster, with wrecks of human origin, which symbolize themes like greed, lie, exploitation and war.
